Remember The Secret Wars? You should. It's an important storyline in Marvel's continuity.
Fortunately for those of us with short memories, The Secret Wars Reenacting Society exists to remind us of this vital storyarc. Taking a page from Civil War Reenactors, Mr. Fantastic explains, "Every Saturday we like to get together here at the park and we reenact one of the important battles of the 12-issue limited marvel series Secret Wars."
Yes, it's entertaining as hell to watch, but really, it's about more than just a good time. Says Kang the Conqueror, "This is about comrade, its about teamwork, but most of all its about history. It's really about knowing your roots. I mean kids today, they're reading about Wolverine's clone sister. What the hell's that about?"
