After tons of fan pictures surfacing the web, this official picture of Heath Ledger as the Joker has shown up. Speaking of official, it was officially announced that Maggie Gyllenhall will replace Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes (FINALLY!) Also, Aaron Eckhart is taking on the role of Harvey Dent – though no word yet if he will become Two-Face in this movie. Returning cast includes Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman. “The Dark Knight” will start filming this month and is due for July 16th 2008.

That is not an official picture. There are none released yet and will not for awhile. It is still being kept secret. As of last week he had not even tried any makeup of any kind yet. BOGUS

Yeah, Matt. Check your info. I've seen this 'shopped pic floating around the intertubes since Ledger was announced as the Joker.
