Speed Racer Trailer
The trailer for next year’s Speed Racer movie is up. The movie, directed by the Wachowski brothers doesn’t seem much like the Speed Racer of the 1960’s. With every race sequence composed of gravity defying CGI, the movie seems to be pretty heavy on the special effects. However, the effects don’t seem to really evoke anything of the original series, looking more like something out a video game (think F-zero). This could be cool, or just come off as really lame.
On the plus side, looks like much of the casting is spot on. John Goodman is the perfect fit for Pops. The only real issue is Emile Hirsch, who plays Speed, really doesn’t have the long eyelashes for it. Where are the eyelashes!?

LOL! what're u talking about with the long eyelashes already! A little maybelline and he'll be good to go! I for one am keeping my fingers crossed and hope the Mach 5 doesn't turn out to be a Gremlin! Is it me or did Racer X look like Cyclops?
