Astro Boy
The CGI movie adaptation of Astro Boy seems to still be on track, despite a change in director. The new director, David Bowers, previously worked on Flushed Away. Early shots of the movie show that it may have a similar look. Expect this movie to be along the lines of other recently adapted, older illustrated proprieties, in that it will probably be light on plot and heavy on gags. This could be a good family movie when it comes out in 2009, or it could wind up failing to capture the magic of earlier Astro Boy iterations, similar to Imagin's previous effort, TMNT.
