Tuesday, February 13 (7:30pm – 8:45pm) – Science Fiction vs. Science Comedy Show – We love science and science fiction, and Fantom Comics will be combining the two for a special comedy event. Comedians Kasha Patel and Robert Mac will entertain you with science comedy while headliner Mike Capozzola will take you on a comedic journey through his love of science fiction from childhood. Get your $8.63 tickets at Eventbrite or at the door.

Thursday, February 15 (5:30pm – 6:15pm) – Black Panther discussion with Dr. Greg Carr & Jabari Sellars – On the evening of our Flicks with Fantom: Black Panther Premiere, join Fantom’s own Harvard grad student Jabari Sellars in conversation with Howard University chair of Afro-American Studies Dr. Greg Carr as they discuss–what else?–Black Panther! This event is at the fantastic black woman-owned teahouse Calabash Tea Bar, which is only a 5-minute walk from Landmark’s Atlantic Plumbing Cinema where we’re hosting the film premiere. Whether you’re coming to our screening or not, join us for the discussion at Calabash! We’ll have Black Panther comics for sale.

Thursday, February 15 (7:00pm – 10:00pm) – Flicks with Fantom: Black Panther Premiere – Fantom has bought out the very first showtime of Black Panther at Landmark’s Atlantic Plumbing Cinema. From 6:15 to 7:00, the plush lobby & bar of Atlantic Plumbing Cinema will host our BLACK CARPET EVENT where we’ll have a photographer taking pictures of everyone in their best Afrofuturist get-ups… so dress to the nines!

Friday, February 16 (6:30pm – 10:00pm) – Friday Night Magic – We will NOT be holding FNM this week due to conflict with another event. Sorry about that, we’ll be back on schedule on Friday the 23rd.

Friday, February 16 (8:00pm – 10:00pm) & Sunday, February 18 (7:00pm – 9:00pm) – VDay Dupont Circle Fundraiser: The Vagina Monologues – Come out and an enjoy a production of Eve Ensler’s internationally-renowned play, “The Vagina Monologues” this Presidents’ Day weekend. $10 suggested donation, but this performance is “pay what you can” with a small required donation to gain entry. 100% percent of funds raised will be donated: 90% to the DC Rape Crisis Center (DCRCC – Powering A Culture of Consent) and 10% to The Vagina Monologues’ Spotlight Campaign for its 20th anniversary this year, The Resistance.

Saturday, February 17 (7:00pm – 10:00pm) – Geek Trivia Night – Join Fantom Comics for geeky trivia, booze and the chance to win The Gauntlet! Join as a team or individually. For those new folks: Fantom Trivia night is ten rounds of all pop-culture focused trivia. No sports; no politics; no science or history…from movies to TV to comics to pop-literature…our trivia covers the kind of things you’d BS about in a comic book shop on a Wednesday afternoon. But with booze!

Monday, February 19 (6:30pm – 9:30pm) – Comics & Cocktails – NOTE: We’re at the Smoke & Barrel on 18th St this week.
